Steveria Kadangwe
Malawi Editor, AuthorMe.com
I went to school at Kamuzu Academy here in Malawi and was encouraged to write by my English teacher. I started writing poetry in 1992 and have written since then. I have published in a few local magazines and was sub editor for the Polytechnic newsletter while I was in college studying for a Bachelors of Business Administration degree. Last year I was on the British Council Crossing Borders scheme, where young African writers are attached to an experienced mentor at the University of Lancaster . This offered me exposure I otherwise might not have had in terms of cross cultural interaction and improving my writing skills. At the end we had a live workshop with one of the mentors ofthe project which provved to be very beneficial.I am single with a daughter and I love to read. I am presently working with Unilever South East Africa (Malawi) Limited.
