Author Biography
Raphael Rothstein
Raphael Rothstein is an author, journalist and publicist.
He is a former producer at ABC Eyewitness News and a member of the New York
Times News Service. He also served as The Washington Post correspondent in
Mexico in 1970-71 and was the Ha'aretz correspondent at the United Nations.
He was the first reporter to reveal the U.S. Rogers Plan for a Mideast
settlement.
Mr. Rothstein has written articles, stories and poems for many publications
and is the author of several books of reportage on Israel and the Arab
world. He has also published the popular novels, THE MYSTERY OF MASADA and
THE HAND OF FATIMA.
He has been honored by the Writers Guild of America, the Associated Press
and the American Jewish Committee for his television journalism and he is
the recipient of the Smolar Award. He is the winner of the American-Jewish
Press Association 1998 Award for "Best Magazine Writing."
