The Visitor

IN the year 2099, a temporal rift occurred near the orbit
of mars and
object came barreling through!" this didn't go unnoticed
on earth, the
orbital platform in stationary orbit around the moon picked up
the
occurrence. THAT object proved to be a planet about the size of
the
earth as the world continued to roll past mars, but a realigning
began
to happen, the great planet Jupiter began to exercise its control
over
the new addition to the solar system, it's speed started to slow
and
stabilize, if this hadn't happened it might have gone on to eject
the
earth and Venus from the solar system.
AS the new planet took up orbit between mars and the earth,
it became
apparent that the new world would have a hyperbolic orbit for
part of
the year it would come close to the earth within ten million miles
and
the other part of the year it would remain in the vicinity of
mars. A
science vessel was dispatched to orbit the new planet, christened
ARIES,
the research craft sailed into orbit around ARIES, the infrared
scanners
show a world of contrast seas that flowed out of their bed and
devastated the continents, the ruins of great cities were seen.
AFTER much deliberation!" was decided to seen down a scout
craft to
check to see if any life survived, the captain Ruben James and
three
other personnel took the scoutship Magellan down to the planet,
the
craft landed near one of the ruined cities. AS they tested the
outside
atmosphere, it was found safe to breath, when the exit door opened
a
scene of complete devastation greeted them, everywhere laid the
bodies
of dead or dying beings, humanoid in appearance.
THE more they explored the more dejected they felt, all this
death a
world in ruin, suddenly!" they were startled by a group of
frighten
survivors male and female, it was uncanny like staring at themselves,
that how close they resembled earth people. THE earth people tried
to
convince the aliens that they would not harm themsomehow they
managed
to communicate with the people of ARIES and convinced them they
were
here to help not hurt, it was learned that the true name of the
planet
is MARDOK, a message was sent to EARTH to send aid of all kinds.
IT was learned that MARDOK had once orbited a gas giant in
a star
system eleven light years distance, the star TAU-CETI a super
nova in a
near by solar system had caused their planet to be catapulted
out of
orbit and through the temporal rift and here in this solar system,
on
the way through, the seas drained out of their beds, sweeping
over the
land and destroying the cities and everything on the land, it
is a
miracle that any life survived. THE remnants of the people were
glad
to be alive, they were made aware that help is on the way and
that
their planet had settled into a stable orbit, the knowledge seem
to
lift their spirits.
EPILOGUE... IT has been five years since the planet MARDOK
came
into the solar system, much of the life was destroyed, but some
has
survived and were making a comeback, including the people with
the help
of the earth people and much knowledge was learned about life
in
another solar system, it was obvious that the two peoples would
be fast
friends, it is odd a disaster brought two races together, a miracle
or
an accident, its your guess. The end
