Joseph Wangila

Joseph Wangila holds a master’s degree in Literature from University of Nairobi and is currently a PhD candidate. He carries a wealth of experience in the study and teaching of Literature having taught in High school, college and university. He’s currently a part time lecturer of Literature at Moi University, Kenya.

Wangila is actively involved in writing and also a member of Kenya Non-fiction authors Association (KENFAA), Kenya Oral Literature Association (KOLA). He has written a number of literary pieces, some published while others are still pending publication. Those published include Memories We Lost and other stories an anthology of Short stories for Secondary Schools, a Study Guide of When the Sun goes Down and other stories, “The Village Salon” a short story published in “Mwangaza” a journal for University of Nairobi. The unpublished works include “The Futile Chase” (Novel), Biography of F.D. Imbuga: “The Man who told the Truth Laughingly” and many children’s stories.

Joseph is married to Doris Muthoni and together they have two sons: Lewis and Lincoln. They stay in Webuye town, Bungoma County in Kenya.
