The wisdom of Nusruddin

Mulla Nasruddin was sent to a small town with an assignment to give the sermon on Friday interpreting texts from the Koran. On the first Friday, after reading the text, he asked the community,  "Did you understand what I read?"

They said no.

So he told them, "Then there is no point that I give my sermon; you would not understand it anyway."

The next Friday he asked again, "Did you understand what I read?"

They said yes.

So he told them, "Then there is no need that I give my sermon; you already know what I was going to say."

The next Friday he asked them again if they had understood what he had read.
This time, the members of the community had agreed that half would say yes and half would say no.

So Nasruddin told them, "In that case, those who understood please explain to those who did not understand" and left.
