Iran had been sitting on these Weapons of Mass Destruction for over half a decade. However, they never said a word. Why? If they had no intention of using these weapons, why did they not wave the flag and have them publically destroyed. It would have done wonders for their public relations and especially in the summer of 2008 they needed all the help they could get. Therefore, one must conclude that they kept these weapons and the secret for a specific purpose, with the full intention of using them, if deemed necessary. See Iran, Part
9/11 was the most horrific event to occur in recent history. Thousands died needlessly because our government did not heed the warnings, which they had repeatedly received.
Conventional wisdom says: “if we do not learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it.” Sadly, this appears to be all too true. We, as American citizens, are expecting, and relying on our government, more specifically the intelligence community, to protect us from harm. Regrettably, it is a false expectation.
Look at the odds: our government must be right 100% of the time; the terrorists only have to be lucky once. These are not odds that I would care to take to Vegas. Our government had over 6 years warning about 9/11, complete with methods and named targets, including the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. It did not stop 9/11.
Approximately 1,00,000 containers arrive on the West Coast daily. Care to guess how many are inspected? Collectively, our intelligence community has more holes than a sieve. Therefore, it must be assumed that it is only a matter of time until the terrorists are successful once again. A FBI agent told me: “It’s not ‘if’ but ‘when’. It’s already 95% in the can.” Not the most heart-warming, encouraging statement. Sadly, it’s terribly realistic.
We, as American citizens, have in the past and still continue in the future to rely on our Uncle Sam to protect us. Regrettably, he is not in a position to do so. Since 9/11 our intelligence has shrunk in size, not increased. How can fewer folk protect us when more people couldn’t?
The methods employed by the terrorists will not be the same. There will be no more “planes flying into tall buildings.” It will be biological or chemical attacks on populated centers, where they can kill more victims for their martyrs.
One possible scenario, already conducted by the FBI, indicated that over 500,000 people would be killed biologically within a 10-day period. To make matters worse, no one would know initially that they did not have a summer cold until it was too late. The health care system, i.e. hospitals and clinics, etc., would become so overloaded that social services, such as we know them, would disintegrate.
In future articles, we will review the origins of 9/11, current status of our intelligence agencies, specific warnings which our government persisted in ignoring, and possible methods of future attacks.
Since we must assume that our government is incapable of protecting us, it is now our personal duty and responsibility to protect ourselves and our loved ones. No one else is going to do it.
It must be concluded that our government will not voluntarily change; therefore we must force them to do so. In order to effectively do this, we must first understand the mistakes of the past, so we are not condemned to repeat them. Then we can actually know how to avoid repeating them.
I look forward to sharing my experiences and thoughts with you.
Sincerely,
Chris Cobar

P.S. For those of you who want more than a snappy synopsis of the whys and wherefores of 9/11, I refer you to www.intelwire.com. It is managed by a good friend, John Berger. He is a certified terrorist consultant, who documents his colons and commas. If it's there, you can take it to the bank.
